The key to wellness lies within us and the choices we make on a daily basis.
Intuitas Integrative Wellness was born out of the awareness for a need to help educate the individual that:
As Bruce Lipton, a renowned cellular biologist mentions, “we are not victims of our genes”.
With the right nutrition, lifestyle changes, and nutraceutical recommendations, your conditions and disorders may be vastly improved. With our background in female focused holistic and integrative nutrition practices, Intuitas aims to educate and support our clients to maintain and sustain optimal health throughout their life.
Our founder, Chiara Visconti di Modrone, guides our clients on their path to health through nutritional, herbal, and lifestyle support. As an integrative nutritionist, she encourages you to empower yourself to make lasting and sustainable changes that do not just make you feel better, but help you thrive.
We are not victims of our genes, but masters of our fates, able to create lives overflowing with peace, happiness, and love.
My earliest memories are of an idyllic childhood climbing trees and riding horses on a ranch outside of Atlanta or picking summer fruits on the family farm in Tuscany. I grew up alongside nature thus developing a deep respect for its lessons and bounties. We raised cattle, planted trees and gardened. Being born into an Italian family, eating what we grew, the farm to table concept, was never a conscious decision but a part of who we were and our everyday life.
It is said that self-discovery begins where your comfort zone ends. My secure world was thrown into chaos when I lost my brother to cancer, and both my parents soon after. It made me realize the precariousness of life and the importance of preserving its vitality.
The medical system as we know it, fails to consider nutrition and lifestyle choices as a valuable component of care.
Why is prevention not prioritized over cure? Why do we feel that our health is not in our control? Why are we considered victims of our genes and thus predisposed to diseases?
As these questions plagued me, I decided to step out of my pain and turn it into a tool for knowledge. With my undergraduate degree from Brown University in hand, I chose to pursue a graduate degree in Integrative Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Most recently I became a Certified Ketogenic Nutrition Specialist, whereby I have the knowledge in using the Ketogenic Diet as a metabolic therapy.
Out of adversity comes truth. This educational path led me back to what I had intuitively known growing up, but this time it was backed with scientific evidence and a deep physiological understanding of our own body’s innate healing abilities. The realization that we are all biochemically different with highly individualized needs was a defining moment for me. As well as the acknowledgement of our body’s inherent ability to communicate with us through various signs and symptoms.
This led me to create ‘Intuitas Integrative Wellness’ in Atlanta, as I came full circle to where it all began for me. We cannot move towards the future without our roots. So even today in my free time, you might find me traveling throughout the world discovering its ancient wisdom, or with my three daughters and husband on our agricultural properties studying and implementing biodynamic farming practices.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
